Product Description Survival is the will to prevail in any event be it Man made or Mother Nature’s wrath. As a human, we all have the primal instinct of self preservation. When it comes time for survival, you have to ask yourself one question. Do I have the knowledge to get me thru this? The things we need to prepare for are, Recessions, Depressions, Pandemics and Epidemics, Terrorist Attacks, Civil Unrest or an Act of God. To see the future, look to the past, for history always repeats itself. It is not the survival of the fittest anymore, it is the survival of the smartest. This is when I decided I will be prepared, I will be the Urban Survivalist. Will You?

| Customer Reviews: Great reference and guidebook! May 2, 2010 N. Cummins (Phx, AZ USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This "survival" book is creative and imaginative containing information not traditionally found in other books on the same topic. The author provides detailed suggestions and directions to survive if our society and economy ceases to remain intact. Current world events lead many to believe that, in the future, we may not be able to expect the comforts that we enjoy today. Mr. Painter has carefully researched and prepared for solutions to critical problems such as: what do we do without food, electricty, water, sewer and other everyday comforts we sometimes take for granted? His solutions are particularly relevant to living in the southwest where we experience water shortages and extremely high temperatures in the summer. This is a book to keep in a reference library. It may prove to be life-sustaining!
A must have April 29, 2010 Eric Lamb 1 out of 1 found this review helpful

This book will help everyone May 14, 2010 Diana L. Gilbert 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I read this book and once I got done I then read it again. This book is perfect for what is happening in the world today. I would recommend this book to everyone. At some time in your life the power grid will go down for a day or even a week due to an unforeseen circumstance. And one day your water may get contaminated and the city will ask you to boil your water if it is still coming out of the tap. This book covers all of that. Now if Society fails the book also covers that. This book is for everyone.
Awesome read! June 18, 2010 Alan Haynie (GILBERT, AZ, US) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is not your typical cut and paste guide book. The author did his homework and you can tell he has a passion for the topic. This book was well written and easy to understand. The author takes takes a practical look at trying to prepare you and your family for the worst case scenario. When I first read the book I finished the last page and turned to the front and read it again!!! You will not be disappointed!
Poorly written, lacking July 6, 2010 Robert Vanorden 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
So I read through the kindle sample, aside from the several typos and intelligible sentences, per page, the was little if any useful info.
Pass on this one.
